Laryngeal Mask
A laryngeal mask is a medical device used to secure and maintain an open airway during anesthesia or unconsciousness. It consists of an airway tube and an inflatable mask that is inserted into the throat. The mask forms a seal around the laryngeal inlet, allowing for ventilation and oxygenation. Laryngeal masks are beneficial in providing a clear airway and facilitating spontaneous or controlled breathing during medical procedures.
